POPULAR CULTURE AND THE MUSIC OF THE 1960s
Tony Traguardo presents a unique look at the music of the 1960s with an eye towards how it
affected – and was affected by – the popular culture of the times. The course lectures will be
highlighted and augmented by rarely seen footage and audio segments that will connect the
music and performers of the 60s to the ever -changing fashion, politics, and social mores of what
may have been the most exciting decade of the last century. Tony is a music historian, archivist,
member of the Board of Directors of the Long Island Music Hall of Fame and Oldies Curator for
