SoundShare ...
"SoundShare"
began in response to the fact that libraries and educational institutions
tend to focus on book discussion groups. In truth, many of us have
been as affected - or possibly more effected - by an album or a
recording artist than they have by a book or author.
Tony Traguardo has been collecting, analyzing, and archiving rock music audio and video for over 25 years. In the 1990s he had a regular music column in a European collector's magazine. And artists ranging from Joey Ramone to Graham Nash have shared their thoughts with Tony during interviews. He brings this knowledge about rock and roll, and his love of the genre, to all of his programs and events.
Tony's unique multimedia presentations give audiences a rare glimpse inside the world of popular music's best-loved performers and composers.
Mr. Traguardo says, "We've gotten to a place where the people who remember the great music made in the 1960s and 1970s have no way to learn about the songs they love and the artists who wrote them. Radio is really of no help … and MTV has changed it's focus quite a bit."
SoundShare audiences will be delighted to hear what famous songs sounded like in their raw forms, or what their favorite artists looked like in performance over two decades ago. It's all part of an incredible evening of music and history with Tony Traguardo.
Topics of Tony's most popular music-related programs include:
