When the mop tops from Liverpool landed at JFK (Idelwild) Mitch's Mom instantly fell in love with Paul McCartney and, through her enthusiasm, a fanatic was born! His Dad's friend owned the record shops at T.S.S. (Times Square Stores) and Mitch was lucky enough to get the latest Beatles releases way before they came out to the Beatle-frenzied public.
At the age of three, Mitch sat in front of his television set along with millions of others to watch the debut of The Beatles cartoon series which premiered on ABC-TV on September 25, 1965. The Beatles cartoons would forever fascinate Mitch as he would go on to write the only book ever written about the historic animation series, the critically acclaimed Beatletoons - The Real Story Behind The Cartoon Beatles. Being a huge baseball fan as well as a Beatles fan, Mitch was so proud when in 2003 he had his first children's book published entitled Little Billy and Baseball Bob which is endorsed by Minor League Baseball and former New York Mets World Series shortstop, Bud Harrelson.
Mitch resides on Long Island, New York with his wife Nancy and their children, Spencer and Stephanie, both HUGE Beatles fans!
