"Sky Pilot" - "Shindig!" Summer of Love 50th Anniv. Show
|
- “A Historical Trip through the Music of the '60s”: The group performs songs from each musical phase of the tumultuous '60s, and offers historical background, anecdotes, and information about the significance of the music and the performers who made it.
- “Bellbottoms, Bubblegum and the Blues: Music of the '70s”: The group performs songs from a number of genres and styles that topped the charts in the '70s, and offers historical background, anecdotes, and information about the significance of the music and the performers who made it.
- “Life Is a Rock, But the Radio Rolled Me”: Top 40 Radio and FM Radio made its mark on many youngsters who grew up during the '60s and '70s. The DJs were our friends, and the music was as diverse and exciting as the times. This entertaining multimedia show offers a simulated trip through the radio stations of yesterday as the group performs with the ‘help’ of a local DJ who talks up the tunes.
-"Peace, Love and Music": This set is comprised of music from the late 1960s, with a focus on songs that delivered the message of peace and love, including a few of the eras most important protest songs. The harmony driven sound of the Byrds and The Mamas and Papas mixes in with the edgier sounds of Cream, The Animals and Jefferson Airplane in this dynamic set.
“THE CHIMPANZEATLES” Present the Music of the Monkees and the Beatles"
(Available as a duo, trio or quartet. Vocals by Tony Traguardo)
We have heard their music and seen them on TV and in movies for years, and we always think of these two groups in very different ways. The Beatles are 'musical geniuses', and the Monkees are the cute bubblegum group that didn't play their own instruments. Well ... there's much more to the story. And in this program the guys tell the interconnected stories of both bands through anecdotes and their amazing music.
